NIKO BJD | Jammusic

Nikos Bjd began his musical journey in the early 1980s as a bassist in various rock and blues groups. Influenced by the new wave and punk movements, he co‐founded TΟEΕΟΝ, one of the pioneering projects of Greece’s underground music scene. Their debut album Refuge (1983, Music Box) became a creative milestone that shaped his subsequent artistic direction.In the years that followed, he collaborated with significant bands of the Greek scene, including Trypes and Mple.

Together with George Papapostolou, he founded Studio Jam, a creative hub whith a basic recording and rehearsal room, that became a meeting point for many independent musicians .Through Studio Jam, Nikos developed parallel projects and new musical directions, leading to the creation of GRASSHOPERS (Acid Jazz, Funk, Reggae), I5 (Progressive Rock, Dub, World) and, alongside Papapostolou, the group BLE (Rock, Pop, Dance), as well as the early Terra Mono era (Fae Lefta – Jam Music 2004, Krima – Jam Music 2004).

Later, moving into more electronic environments, he created Trancelatino (No Puedo Obtener – Jam Music 2018, Latina Katina – Jam Music 2017), merging Trance, Dub, Tribal and World elements with strong rhythmic energy and ethnic influences.

He also developed Formatech (Experimental, Electro, World) and Under Virus (Μπήκαν τα γίδια στο μαντρί – RMX Under Jam 2020, Μαριώρη – Jam Music 2020, Kouli Kouli – RMX Under Jam 2021), often with a satirical edge.

As NIKO BJD, he released the single On Planet Earth (Jam Music 2022).

In recent years, he has been running the renewed project TERRA MONO, releasing Welcome to Babylon (Jam Music 2019), Thermastis (Jam Music 2021), No Plan B (Jam Music 2022), What Is It Like to Be You (Spiral Trax 2024) and Realize (Spiral Trax 2025).

As a producer, arranger and performer, he has worked with artists across diverse styles, maintaining a personal aesthetic rooted in simplicity, innovation and rhythmic depth.

He also manages JAM MUSIC, active in production, publishing and promotion, as well as JAM LOOPS, creating sample libraries and loop packs for producers and organizing cross‐genre musical projects.
